| Maryanne Jacques has spent more than 40 years working in the Australian tourism industry, with over 30 of those years based in Cairns. She is the owner and operator of Cairns Discovery Tours, your local connection to Tropical North Queensland.
After settling in Cairns in 1995, Maryanne built her career around sharing the best of the region with visitors from around the world. She previously founded and ran Adventure North Australia, specialising in Cooktown excursions and Indigenous cultural experiences, before taking ownership of Cairns Discovery Tours in 2012. Maryanne writes from genuine firsthand experience. Whether it is the Great Barrier Reef, the Daintree Rainforest, the Kuranda Train, Skyrail, or Cooktown, she knows the region inside out and is passionate about helping visitors make the most of their time in Tropical North Queensland. She lives in Cairns and loves it, and her goal is simple: to give every visitor the same trusted local advice she would give a friend. |
