Discover where the Rainforest meets the Reef on this 2 day, 1 night Daintree and Great Barrier Reef tour from Cairns and Port Douglas. Experience Mossman Gorge with a Welcome to Country and Indigenous Smoke Ceremony alongside the Kuku Yalanji people, then cruise the crocodile-inhabited Daintree River, keeping an eye out for native birds, snakes, and basking crocs. After lunch in the rainforest, settle in for an overnight stay at Cape Tribulation, surrounded by jungle sounds and starry skies. The next morning, board a vessel for a half-day Great Barrier Reef snorkelling adventure before returning to Cairns and Port Douglas.

Itinerary
Day 1 Cairns to Cape Tribulation
Morning – Mossman Gorge
Scenic coastal drive north from Cairns to the Daintree, arriving at Mossman Gorge for a Welcome to Country and Indigenous Smoking Ceremony with the Kuku Yalanji people, Traditional Custodians of this land. A guided walk reveals the secrets of this ancient rainforest, with time to swim in the cool, clear waters of the gorge.
Midday – Daintree River Wildlife Cruise
Cruise the legendary Daintree River, spotting saltwater crocodiles, snakes and birdlife while your guide shares insights into this unique ecosystem.
Afternoon – Lunch & Arrival
Lunch surrounded by rainforest, then arrival in Cape Tribulation, where reef meets rainforest in a true World Heritage meeting of two ecosystems.
Your Stay – Safari Lodge, Cape Tribulation
Cosy cabins and shaded campsites tucked into the Daintree rainforest, walking distance to tropical beaches — the perfect base for exploring the region.
Evening & Night

Day 2: Great Barrier Reef – Half Day Snorkelling Adventure
Step aboard a custom-built vessel for a half-day Great Barrier Reef Adventure. Snorkel at a vibrant coral site teeming with marine life—colourful fish, giant clams, and perhaps even a curious turtle cruising by
A maximum of 25 passengers allowing you to experience tropical paradise and the pleasure of a small group. The vessel is based on the original design of a rescue craft and is a rigid inflatable boat driven by 700hp engines.
Return Journey
Travel back to Cairns or Port Douglas, with a stop at the Daintree Ice Cream Company for exotic fruit ice cream (own cost). Tour concludes at your accommodation approximately 6:30pm.
