Day 1 Cairns to Cape Tribulation
Begin your overnight escape at Mossman Gorge with a powerful cultural experience. Connect with the Kuku Yalanji people—Traditional Custodians of the land—through a Welcome to Country and Indigenous Smoke Ceremony, a meaningful moment of reflection and connection to place.
Next, journey north to the legendary Daintree River for a wildlife cruise along this ancient waterway. Keep an eye out for saltwater crocodiles, snakes, birds, and more as your expert guide shares fascinating insights into the region’s unique wildlife.
After your cruise, enjoy a delicious lunch surrounded by lush rainforest before spending the night in Cape Tribulation, where two World Heritage wonders meet. Immerse yourself in the tranquillity of the rainforest and fall asleep under the stars.
At night:
The rainforest comes alive. You’ll hear frogs, insects, and the occasional rustle of wildlife moving through the forest. It’s not silent — it’s a natural soundtrack.
Darkness:
Once the lights go out, it’s properly dark. With very little light pollution, you’ll often see a sky full of stars as the canopy opens up.
Day 2 – Cape Tribulation to Cairns
Early mornings:
Expect mist through the trees, birds calling, and soft filtered light — it’s one of the most peaceful times of day.
Enjoy the morning to relax or explore at your leisure, followed by a stop at the Daintree Ice Cream Company for a sweet treat on your journey home, reflecting on your unforgettable rainforest adventure.
