Experience two World Heritage areas in one unforgettable journey with this 2 day, 1 night Daintree Rainforest tour from Cairns and Port Douglas. Begin with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony with the Kuku Yalanji people at Mossman Gorge, then cruise the Daintree River keeping an eye out for crocodiles and other wildlife. After lunch, settle in for an overnight stay at Cape Tribulation where the rainforest meets the reef and experience the Rainforest after dark under a sky full of stars. Wake to misty mornings before heading back to Cairns, with a stop at the Daintree Ice Cream Company along the way.

Itinerary
Day 1: Cairns to Cape Tribulation
Morning – Mossman Gorge
Scenic coastal drive north to the Daintree, arriving at Mossman Gorge for a Welcome to Country and Indigenous Smoking Ceremony with the Kuku Yalanji people, Traditional Custodians of this land. A guided walk reveals the secrets of this ancient rainforest, with time to swim in the cool, clear waters of the gorge.
Midday – Daintree River Wildlife Cruise
Cruise the legendary Daintree River, spotting saltwater crocodiles, snakes and birdlife while your guide shares insights into this unique ecosystem.
Afternoon – Lunch & Arrival
Lunch surrounded by rainforest, then arrival in Cape Tribulation, where reef meets rainforest in a true World Heritage meeting of two ecosystems.
Your Stay – Safari Lodge, Cape Tribulation
Cosy cabins and shaded campsites tucked into the Daintree rainforest, walking distance to tropical beaches — the perfect base for exploring the region.
Evening & Night
Rainforest Soundtrack – frogs, insects and rustling wildlife create a natural symphony as night falls

Day 2: Cape Tribulation to Cairns

Free Time
Relax or explore at your own pace before collection for the return journey.
Return Journey
Travel back to Cairns or Port Douglas, with a stop at the Daintree Ice Cream Company for exotic fruit ice cream (own cost). Tour concludes at your accommodation approximately 6:30pm.
