Two separate day tours from Cairns: the Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation on one day, and the Atherton Tablelands waterfalls on another. You return to your Cairns accommodation each evening.
This combo pairs two of the most requested day trips from Cairns. On one day you head north along the coast to Mossman Gorge, the Daintree River and Cape Tribulation, where the rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef. On the other you head south and up onto the Atherton Tablelands to swim at waterfalls, a volcanic crater lake and rainforest swimming holes.
These are not an overnight tour. Each is a full day tour that starts and finishes in Cairns. You can do them on consecutive days or leave a rest day in between, and Cairns Discovery Tours books both for you in one go.
Itinerary
Day Tour 1: Cape Tribulation Rainforest Day Tour

The Kuku Yalanji Traditional Owners welcome you with a smoking ceremony, followed by a guided rainforest walk and a chance to swim in the Mossman River (weather permitting).

After crossing the river you continue to Alexandra Lookout, take a botanical walk through the Daintree Rainforest, enjoy cafe style lunch before a Beach walk at Cape Tribulation, where the rainforest meets the reef.
You stop at the Daintree Ice Cream Company for tropical fruit ice cream made on site (at your own cost). You return to Cairns approximately 6.30pm – 7.00pm
