Great Barrier Reef Tour onboard 'Evolution'

Join the luxurious and spacious yacht, Evolution, to the Outer Great Barrier Reef for your snorkelling experience. The 35-metre vessel, Evolution departs Cairns with  5 hours spent exploring two spectacular and exclusive outer Great Barrier Reef locations for an adventure-filled day!

In the afternoon, you have the option to add additional reef activities. Join us on the Semi-Submersible Tour, learning about the reef with our marine biologist, or add a scuba dive or a scenic helicopter flight over the reef. Finally, you'll cruise back to Cairns while enjoying a free glass of wine and a snack while you reflect on your day on the Great Barrier Reef.​


Day 2- Daintree Rainforest Tour

Due to the impact of severe tropical cyclone Jasper and the associated flooding & road closures, there have been some itinerary changes to ensure you still have a great time in the Daintree Rainforest.

Includes pick up & drop off from your Cairns, Northern Beaches or Port Douglas accommodation.

Group size is kept to under 17 passengers for a personalized experience. Explore the oldest Rainforest in the World, an essential bucket list experience!

Journey north on the scenic coastal drive to the Daintree Rainforest with spectacular views of the Coral Sea coastline. Embark an informative one hour River Cruise on the mighty Daintree River where you spot and learn about estuarine crocodiles, mangrove forests and endemic wildlife as you unwind in nature's embrace. Light refreshment of tea/coffee and biscuits provided. Your experienced Guide will give an information commentary on the rich local flora/fauna and cultural significance of the area as you drive through the ancient Daintree Rainforest. Get sand on your feet as you join a guided beach walk where the "Rainforest meets the Reef".  Savour a delicious lunch at a local restaurant amidst the unique backdrop of the Daintree Forest (please advise in advance of ay special dietary requirements) followed by a stop for a a delicious tropical fruit ice-cream enroute to the Daintree Ferry.
Your last stop is at the famous Mossman Gorge for a guided rainforest walk on a selection of trails and elevated boardwalks (easy grade) with time for an invigorating freshwater swim (subject to river conditions) before heading back to your hotel.

Day 2 – Daintree/Cape Trib/Bloomfield Track Day Tour

Your Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation 4WD Bloomfield Track full-day tour from Cairns begins with being met by your friendly accredited guide at your accommodation. After introductions, we drive north along the magnificent scenic coastal route along the Captain Cook Highway, learning about the history of the area and admiring spectacular views of the coastline and the Azure waters of the Coral Sea.

Stop 1: Daintree Rainforest River Cruise & Morning Tea – our first stop is at the Majestic Daintree River for morning tea (tea, coffee & biscuits) before enjoying an informative guided River Cruise on the Daintree River. Relax and enjoy the splendour only the Daintree Rainforest can offer as you learn of Estuarine Crocodiles, mangrove forests and endemic wildlife. This is nature at its best!

Stop 2: Alexandra Range Lookout – we make our way up over the Alexandra Range and pause for a panoramic view of World Heritage, Wet Tropics, and Tropical Rainforest merging with the azure colours of the Coral Sea.

Stop 3: Guided Boardwalk Daintree Rainforest Tour – experience the rainforest intimately on one of our guided elevated National Park Boardwalks. Your experienced guide will take you on a wonderful journey through this ancient rainforest whilst giving you an interpretation of flora and fauna, and you will have ample time for photographs and questions as we search for the elusive, rare and totally unique Southern Cassowary and other wildlife species within this particular habitat.

Stop 4: Lunch – Enjoy lunch at a local cafe in the Daintree Rainforest region.

Stop 5: 4WD Bloomfield Track to Emmagen Creek Wildlife Spotting & Freshwater Swim – we will take you beyond the famous Daintree Tea Plantation, past spectacular mountains and through spectacular World Heritage Rainforest as we pass Cape Tribulation and continue along the 4WD Bloomfield Track through to pristine Emmagen Creek. Billy Tea Safaris is the only tour operator that goes to this secret Jewel in the Rainforest, and now it is time for a refreshing rainforest stream swim, in crystal clear fresh waters without the crowds of people.

Stop 6: Cape Tribulation Beach – we then make our way to Cape Tribulation Beach after most of the crowds are gone, stroll along the beach and boardwalk to the photographers’ platform overlooking the mountains and coast where the ‘Rainforest meets the Reef.’

Stop 7: Daintree Ice-Cream Company – On the way home, we stop for delicious homemade ice cream at the Daintree Ice-cream Company (ice cream at your expense).

Tour departs Cairns, Palm Cove, Trinity Beach and Port Douglas

This full-day tour for those being picked up in Cairns and the beaches begins with a trip along the scenic coastal Great Barrier Reef Drive to Port Douglas. The road hugs the mountain side, and we stop at Rex Lookout to enjoy stunning views of the Coral Sea. From here, we continue to Port Douglas, picking up any extra guests and stopping at Flagstaff Hill, which overlooks the famous 4 Mile Beach.

The next stop is Mossman Gorge, where we refresh with local tea, coffee or a cold drink, before exploring this secluded gorge and rainforest paradise. The cool, clear waters of Mossman River tumble through and over giant granite boulders. We’ll take a guided walk, and you have the opportunity for a swim, should you wish to do so.

We then continue north to the Daintree Tea House and enjoy a quality restaurant lunch, with a choice of meals available, before stepping aboard a solar-powered electric boat to take a 1-hour cruise on the Daintree River. Keep your eyes peeled for crocodiles and other local wildlife.

Cape Tribulation is where the rainforest meets the reef, and you can take it all in from the Kulki Lookout. However due to road closures & repairs we are only able to travel as far as Thornton Beach which is approx 13 km south of Cape Tribulation Beach.This is the most northern point of our day tour adventure, so from here, we begin the journey home, but not before a quick stop at the Daintree Ice-Cream Company, where you can purchase locally made tropical ice cream (at your own expense)

Billy Tea Safaris is one of the only operators who can travel on the Bloomfield Track due on their custom-made 4WD vehicles.

Emmagen Creek Freshwater Swim- NOT ACCESSIBLE
Cool off with a freshwater swim at Emmagen Creek. This also makes for a fabulous photo opportunity and is relaxing and refreshing! Swimming in the middle of the Daintree Rainforest?! What more could you ask for?

Enjoy lunch with your fellow travellers, and then it's off to Cape Tribulation Beach. The only place where the rainforest meets the reef. All dietary requirements must be notified at the time of reservation or at least 48 hours before travel. We cater for vegetarians and most other requirements within reason and providing they are of a medical nature.

Ice-cream stop
No Daintree Rainforest day tour is complete without a stop for exotic homemade ice cream at the Daintree Ice-creamery.
